What does O / D Off from Toyota Corolla automatic cars mean?

O / D exceeded.

If it says O / D off, your overdrive is off. Basically, it looks like an upper tooth. If you have a 3-speed automatic transmission with an overdrive, it looks more like an SD4. It only offers extra gear ratio for overtaking or moving a little. This can happen in your gearshift. Press and the indicators will light up. Now, O / D can work whenever you want.
