Can a motion sensor automatically open and close the trash !? 3

I bought a set of 2 Nine Stars DZT509 boxes with motion sensors and only have one for a month or more. The trash we had tonight suddenly opened and closed by itself without anyone touching the sensor. I think maybe it's because they need a new battery, but I'm not sure ... Has anyone had a problem with the motion sensor with this or any other trash model ?

Motion detectors are considered critical because they say they are not old enough to make you think they have flaws.

But it could also be that there may be a reflective surface that transmits heat to the sensor in a dark way. Do you have a highly reflective surface at or near the sensor location? Try to leave the paper on the surrounding surface for a while. If the problem goes away, the sensor is activated by a reflected source of heat, or if the sensor is faulty, the problem persists.

Is there a source of heat near the sensor? Or treatments that emit infrared rays? Did you try to move it to see if it stopped?
The sensor is not good. Why spend this money on it?
