(Digital Security). Flash memory card used in digital cameras and MP3 players. Same size and shape as the Multimedia Card (MMC). The difference is that SD cards are designed to store copyrighted data such as songs. Not all cameras that use SD cards can use MMC cards, so read the user manual before purchasing additional cards.
