P0734 Mitsubishi - How To Discuss

What does P0733 code (incorrect third gear ratio) usually cause / correct? 3

My indicator light is on giving me wrong codes P0734 and P0733 for fourth and third gear. When the car shifts to third gear, RPM and I can never go faster than 40 miles per hour, even with a little acceleration. Operating the Weaver with the Tiptronic function for manual shifting works perfectly, unless you get into third gear.

So I went to my Mitsushi dealer, I was driving Endeavor 04 AWD 6cyl 3.8L and they didn't diagnose because I didn't have time. But while they were there, they found out that my father had mistakenly added the right type of transmission fluid (which had caused the problem earlier). So I paid for emptying and re-storing.

It was difficult because he hadn't done anything right yet. Code P0734 activates after a few hours, so 4th gear is fine (I haven't applied 4th gear since last time), but 3rd gear trouble code is still intact.

It is also important to note that my spool headlights were off, so I had to manually rearrange them by turning them on and off. Could it be related?

Well, if it's not gear oil (at least for fourth gear ...?), Is the magnet bad, as some say?

I'm not as good at auto mechanics as some people, but I can handle my job. It is difficult to be sure what else is causing or solving this problem.

Thank you for any help.

Return to your dealer and let them run their Endeavor with Mutt III attached to the data link. You can then read all the transmission data to see if the sensors and solenoids are working properly. A PCM update may also be available to address this issue. The Mitsubishi is a great car unless the repairer owns it and builds it!

My HYUNDAI dealer told me I need a new transmission because of the same 3-speed gear ratio malfunction and it costs an extra $ 1600 plus $ 660 for $ 7 and an additional $ 200 for additional material, which is the new broadcast. Has come along

Well it has nothing to do with your headlights !!! LOL As a reconstructed transmission for over 25 years, I can tell you this. The only way to correct a faulty gear ratio (skid) in 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 is to change the clutch friction in the transmission in this range. Ok i

Who says solenoid is okay? I have it in my Malibo 04. I finished the gearbox.

This is probably not due to the headlights.

In short, replacing the valve (additional components, less lr) or just repairing the valve y may be cheaper, this is the step that seems to fail (less components, more lr). Unfortunately, LRs are mostly e-dominant and can be more economical and easier to repair by regularly separating them as a unit. Ask about the cost of two possible cices.
