Open Id

An open standard that allows users to login to multiple websites using the same ID through a third party. It is compatible with many websites, including LiveJournal, Yahoo! and WordPress. While Open ID has been embraced by tech communities, the authentication method is not particularly intuitive and not widely accepted by consumers.
