Could it be dark in Michigan?
Soil darkness is measured by the percentage of visible light transmission (VLT%). In Michigan, this percentage refers to the percentage of visible light that enters through film and windows.
Windshield A non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Darkening of any front window can be done up to 4 inches from the top of the window.
The rear window can be used in any darkness.
The back window can be used in any darkness.
How is color reflected in Michigan?
Like solar lenses, some color films contain metallic elements that help to reflect the light of the event and reduce the glare and heat of visible light.
The front windows should not reflect more than 35%.
The reflection of the rear window should not exceed 35%.
Other Michigan rules and regulations
Limited color No color is explicitly prohibited.
There is no limit to side mirrors.
Certification Requirements Filmmakers are not required to certify the films they sell in the state.
Adhesive Label Requirements Adhesive labels are not required to identify legal colors.
