If Worse Comes To Worst

If Worse Comes To Worst

What is the correct expression when the worst happens with the worst or when the worst happens with the worst? 3

I told a friend that if it was the worst, the second version would be correct, but he disagreed because the worst version had to be grammatically correct. I am trying to explain that it is not always necessary to respect grammar. But I doubt myself, can you help me?

Just say that when the push comes and you're done. There is no debate over this language.

I think it depends on what you mean. Personally, when it comes to the worst times, I prefer to say the worst because I think it has to do with the worst of the worst. Things can't get worse, so another version, spoken of as the worst, suggests that the worst things will happen to the worst people, as someone pointed out in the fgumps article. Since I am describing my situation in general terms, I do not want to assume that I am one of the worst people. I'm going to continue Worst Comes Worst, but it looks like you can use Worst Comes Worst as well. As someone once said, if you are proverbial, the rules are not so strict.

There are many variations of this language. In fact, the worst of my idiots, when we talk about usage, is the most common.

Anyone can comment and the meaning will always be clear. This is a colloquial sentence where standard grammar rules do not apply.

Many people like to say the most important ... This is debatable from a grammar point of view, because what we are talking about is the most important and not the most important.

Your case is not grammatically debatable, we can always discuss the most used form on others.

Read this newspaper article I linked to for reference and you can see how Webster gets to this trend.

If Worse Comes To Worst

The worst comes the worst

In other words, what is the worst case scenario or what do we plan to do when the worst happens? This usually means that at worst I'm not worried, I have a plan !!

lol it's really nny! Years ago I took a child development course at school and one of the things she mentioned was that she never told the child to wait for the mother to pick me up. When the teacher asked us if this had ever happened in our mess, the girl with me said that her mother had been doing this for years, but her father had not come to me. We don't do that in our work. My son is also pure and I think it is bad.

You're right, the worst can be the worst. It doesn't make sense, but it is grammatically correct. See the discussion on prayer below.

I think this is the worst case scenario when describing the evolution of a situation to its absolute.

Verbal spoils, spoils because both are right to go to the link provided in the language.
