Hybrid Modeling
Term coined by Gartner to refer to second-generation stress-based and dimensional solid modeling technology, in addition to first-generation parametric modeling. Hybrid modellers provide multiple design input mechanisms, flexible constraint management, and strong support for legacy computer-aided design (CAD) data.
