Frequency Reuse - How To Discuss
Samuel Coleman
Frequency Reuse
A method in which a particular frequency band is used more than once in the same radio system to increase the total system capacity without increasing the allocated bandwidth. Frequency reuse schemes require sufficient isolation between signals using the same frequencies so that mutual interference is kept to an acceptable level. In the case of satellites, frequency reuse can be achieved by using orthogonal polarization states to transmit and/or by using satellite antenna (spot) beams serving separate geographic regions without overlap. See also point radius.
