Collective - How To Discuss

Writer Rachel Newton

Collective

Teams are a set of people who are not controlled by the company, united by a common action or opinion, and who influence the success of the company. Crowds, formal communities, and informal networks of friends and groups connected by love for a particular product or place are examples of collectives. Teams refer to all informal human forces outside of the company's control that can influence the success or failure of the company. These forces transcend the corporate and social boundaries that exist inside and outside the formal company. There are many related (but not identical) concepts, including collective intelligence, wikinomics, collaborative decision-making, networked strategy, collective intelligence, social networks, open innovation, and crowdsourcing. Teams influence innovation, sourcing, branding, positioning, fashion, trends, customer service, sourcing and other important aspects of the core processes of any organization. Collective, as an adjective, is one of the fundamental principles that distinguish social decisions from non-social decisions.
