How do you find the plot of a story? To find the plot of the stories, you have to pay close attention to the events in the story. Read the story slowly, paragraph by paragraph. Whenever an event occurs that somehow moves the characters, either to a new location or to a new conversation or experience, put the passage in parentheses.
