What is an advertising agency?

An advertising agency is a company that manages the marketing work of other companies, including negotiating with ad networks and allocating the marketing budget.

Advertising agency is a broad term, so not all advertising agencies do the same thing, but in general they can create, plan and manage all marketing opportunities through different marketing channels.

This is often practical and cost-effective, as advertising agencies not only save themselves the hassle of hiring staff, but often negotiate lower prices than sole traders when renting advertising space. This is because their total quotes (for all customers) are much larger, giving them much more room to negotiate.

Many companies start with their own marketing team when they are small, expand into an advertising agency as they grow, and as they grow they have their own marketing team to manage the advertising agencies.

It should be noted that when it comes to advertising agencies, it is important to self-verify their work as they literally hire professional people to convince people that they are telling the truth (marketers!). Always keep your goal in mind and compare your performance to that goal.
